Until the recent publication of a special collected book of poetry, few knew the extent to which Carter’s poetry informed the development of her incredible imagination. This unique event will combine live poetry readings with discussion on Carter's life and projections of artwork depicting her poetic mythology. Join us as we bring magic to the music hall in celebration of a total original.

Rosemary Hill is a writer, historian and scholar with an interest in biography. She has written two prize-winning books: God’s Architect, and Stonehenge. Her latest book, Unicorn: The Poetry of Angela Carter, was published in 2015.
Edmund Gordon is a lecturer in English at King’s College London. A regular contributor to the TLS and the London Review of Books, he has also written for the Guardian, the Observer and the Sunday Times. His authorised biography of Angela Carter will be published in 2016.
Juliet Stevenson is one of Britain’s leading actors. She has worked extensively for the RSC, National Theatre and the Royal Court, winning an Olivier award for her performance as Paulina in Death and The Maiden in 1991. Her films include Truly, Madly, Deeply and Being Julia.
